The Riboflavin Test involves applying a solution of riboflavin —a fluorescent compound—to the internal surfaces of a tank or vessel. After running a CIP cycle, the vessel is inspected under UV light to detect any remaining fluorescence. Areas that still glow indicate incomplete spray coverage, while dark areas confirm successful cleaning.
